Conflict Management Associates, LLC - Mediation, Arbitration, Negotiation, Training, and PTE
Welcome to Conflict Management Associates, LLC!

We are a Jackson Hole company dedicated to the resolution of disputes between and among individuals, companies, and organizations out of court. Our 25 years of experience in mediation, arbitration, negotiation, and international business enables us to effectively assist individuals and companies in resolving complex and cultural disputes.

One of our skills is to help businesses, government agencies, and non-profit organizations identify internal communication problems and design processes for conflict management.

In post-decree parenting disputes, we offer Parenting Time Expediters (PTE) to assist in resolving these problems.  The Expeditor functions as a Med-Arb Neutral: The Expediter initially attempts to mediate those disputes, either on the telephone or in person; but if mediation fails to yield an agreement, then the Expediter renders a decision (as an arbitrator), in writing.  This document is binding unless modified or overturned by a Judge.

Conflict Resolution Methods

  • Individual Techniques – Conflict is inherent in every group of two or more people; our goal should not be to eliminate conflict (not possible) but, rather, to figure out how to handle conflict in a productive manner. Learning effective techniques to manage conflicts will enhance every aspect of your life.

  • Mediation – The mediator guides the parties towards finding their own solutions and creating a mutual agreement.  The mediator is neutral and impartial, will not provide legal advice, and is not authorized to make decisions.
Agreement:  If an agreement is reached and signed, then the agreement can be legally binding.
Confidentiality:  All information disclosed in mediation is confidential and cannot be used for litigation or trial purposes.
Voluntary Process:  At anytime you feel the mediation process is not helpful, you can choose to leave.

  • Non-Binding Advisory Opinion -  An educated advisory opinion about the likely outcome if you go to trial.  This opinion is not binding.

  • Arbitration – Arbitration is another alternative method to use rather than going to court.  An arbitrator is a private judge, who renders a binding decision outside of court.

  • Ombudsman - The Ombudsman's role embrace complaint investigation, conciliation, mediation, and recommendations for systemic change in  an organization.
